John Howard, Co-Founder and President
John brings international experience to Duron in the private, public and social sectors. Previously he helped establish a water
purification startup, a rural connectivity nonprofit, and worked at McKinsey & Company on international development,
microfinance and high tech strategy in the US, EU, Middle East and Asia. He also worked as a systems engineer at NASA's
Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a robotics startup. John studied mechanical engineering and economics at Caltech
and Cambridge, and enjoys travel, reading, piano, and tennis. |

James Burgess, Co-Founder and VP of Product Development
James brings diverse product development experience to the Duron team. His background includes startups focused on robotics,
semi-conductors, and alternative energy, and he even started his own film production company and produced a
documentary in Vietnam. Most recently, he was the Director of Systems Engineering in a solar startup
company developing advanced energy products for commercial applications. James studied mechanical
and electrical engineering at Caltech, and enjoys adventure sports, songwriting, travel, photography
and film, and is an avid paraglider and private pilot. |

Amit Shah, VP of Operations
Amit has a depth of experience in international operations strategy. Before joining Duron, he was a management
consultant with McKinsey & Company working on manufacturing operations, supply chain management
and business strategy. While at McKinsey, he also researched global climate change issues,
understanding the economic value for companies to go green. He received his BS and MS in
Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan and works with
the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. Amit also enjoys flying airplanes,
practicing martial arts, and volunteering with the Make-a-Wish foundation. |

Raghu Dharmaraju, VP of Marketing
Raghu joined Duron from Corning, where his responsibilities spanned strategy, marketing, product management and operations in a young fast-growing international business. His previous experience includes print advertising, branding, event promotion, consulting for new ventures and a summer at Palo Alto Research Center doing business development. Raghu grew up in semi-rural India and enjoys working in the rural market. He got his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell, MS from UMass Amherst and BTech from IIT Madras.

Ashish Mittal, VP of Finance
Ashish Mittal has extensive international experience managing corporate finance and accounting operations.
Ashish has worked in several industries, including luxury goods, telecom and information technology.
He began his career as an Auditor and then served as Controller for an MNC managing its US operations.
He served as Financial Controller and grew to the position of Senior Vice President – Finance
working with companies in Telecom and Information Technology from 2002 to 2008. He began
Cosmic Consulting in 2008 to help small and medium enterprises manage their accounting and
finance needs. Ashish holds certifications as a Chartered Accountant in India and a
Certified Public Accountant in the United States. |
