Ajay Awasthi, President & CEO
Ajay has rich experience in sales and marketing, rural distribution, technology, and overall business operations. Most recently Ajay was the Senior Vice President & National Distribution Head for CDMA and Data Products at Reliance Communications. An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Ajay strongly believes that distributed solar power solutions will free electricity from the confines of wires, in the same way that mobile phones freed telecommunications. With millions of households still with no or little access to power, Ajay believes Duron has an opportunity to make deep social and economic impact. |

Debasis Bhattacharya, CFO
Debasis brings in 28+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts in a wide range of companies — large and small. Most recently, at Firepro Systems, a leader in infrastructure protection and safety, Debasis managed the Finance & Accounts functions achieving many milestones over a 5-year period as the company grew more than 20 times. His rich experience includes marketing finance, operational finance, corporate finance and treasury in large state sector organizations like BEL, BEML, IPCL, and Union Bank. Debasis holds certifications such as Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretaryship in India and Dip (IFRS) from ACCA, London. He enjoys travel, music, and reading. |

S. Dileep Kumar, VP of Operations
Dileep comes with 17 years experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management in telecom startups, including Tejas Networks and BA Systems. He started his career with BPL Telecom in Kerala, where he is from. Most recently, he was with One Access Networks as Head of Operations. His experience includes ISO implemention, SAP implementation, and setting up multi-county supply chain networks. Though he has traveled across Asia and Europe he enjoys traveling deep into India the most. He is a good driver and loves music and movies. He is a Physics graduate with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. |

Venkatesh K., VP of Product Development
Venkatesh brings 20+ years of diverse product development and customer management experience to the Duron team. He joined from WeP Peripherals, a spin-out from Wipro (where he worked earlier). He was instrumental in evolving product development, customer support strategies and successfully rolled out many consumer products in rural retail and home power segments. Venkatesh studied Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Mysore University. He enjoys traveling and playing badminton. |

Vernie Sanoo, VP of Retail Sales
Vernie has 22 years of operational experience in leading large sales teams for demo based product selling, setting up sales and service channels in smaller remote markets and building a sales driven organization. Most recently a Deputy General Manager at Eureka Forbes.

Sudarshana brings 21 years of experience in all facets of HR, spanning various organizations including Wipro Consumer Product and TVS Electronics to the Duron team. He is a life member of the National Institute of Personal Management.
