Success Story: Transforming Home Lighting
 Anil Singh lives in a completely unelectrified agricultural village called Narainpur, located approximately 50 km outside of the nearest city.
Anil and his family depended on kerosene lamps to light his home. Costing him more than $4 a day, kerosene was not only expensive, but also provided
his home with inadequate and unreliable lighting.
One day, he saw that one of the homes in his village was lit up by bright, powerful lights. It turns out that his neighbor,
Santosh Singh, had heard about the DURON from a village gathering and purchased it at a nearby distributor. Anil was impressed
with the performance and practicality of DURON's design. After purchasing the product, he installed the LED lights to illuminate
his front porch and two separate rooms in his house. Now, his family is able to enjoy two and a half additional hours of their
evenings under bright and reliable lights.
"The DURON has made my life so much easier," said Anil. "It's a much cheaper [lighting] option compared to kerosene lamps,
and I now have a reliable source of power on a daily basis. I am very happy with [the DURON's] performance." |
